How to Submit Blogger’s Blog Sitemap to Google Search Console

Google Search Console (previously known as Google Webmaster Tool) allows website owners to control website from search engine perspective.
Submitting sitemap to Google search console gives you control of your website/blog posts to get discoverable on search engines.
Procedure For Submitting Sitemaps to Google Webmaster Tools:
Step 1: Go to Google Webmasters and click on “Sign in to Search Console”
Step 2: Click on ‘ADD A SITE’ if your website is not added earlier. Enter website URL and Click on continue.
Step3: Go to ‘Crawl’ you can find it on the right side inside webmaster tool, then click on “Sitemaps” and click “ADD/TEST SITEMAP” which is on the top-right.

Step 4: Add this line


and click on ‘Submit Sitemap.

You have successfully submitted your Blogger’s blog Sitemap, It will take some time for your posts to get indexed in search engine.

Sitemaps submitted to Google Webmaster Tool are capable to crawl only 500 posts per sitemap. That’s the reason we include ‘results=500′ at the end of sitemap URL.

If your website has more than 500 articles
Repeat the procedure for every 500 articles. the lines needed to be added to sitemap are as follows:

Once you have submitted your sitemap, it takes sometime to crawl your webpages and get indexed on Google search engine.
